MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique that uses a magnetic field and computer-generated radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues in your body.

Screening Mammography

Screening mammography can assist in the early detection of breast cancer, even before your health care provider can see or feel changes in the breast.  The test, utilizing 3D digital technology, provides superior quality when compared to previous and outdated film imaging. Screening Mammography does not require a doctor’s order.

We offer cash discounts, and can provide financial coverage for uninsured mammograms.

Diagnostic Mammography

This procedure is used to evaluate a lump or other irregularity noted by you or your doctor.  It is also used to further evaluate an abnormality noted on a screening mammography.

Automated Breast Ultrasound Screening (ABUS)

Automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) is a safe, radiation free, non-invasive exam that uses sound waves to look for cancers and breast pathology in women with dense breast tissue. Unlike the limited breast ultrasound, ABUS is used as a screening tool to evaluate the entire breast and find cancers that can hide in normal dense tissue. ABUS is a screening and diagnostic ultrasound that has been proven to find cancers that are not seen on mammograms. It is not an alternative to your 3D mammogram, but rather an additional screening exam for women with dense breast tissue, because not every breast is alike.

General Ultrasound

Ultrasound is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. The images can provide valuable information for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and conditions.

Insight Imaging offers the following ultrasounds:

  • Abdominal
  • Obstetrical
  • Pelvic
  • Renal
  • Testicular
  • Thyroid
  • Vascular

DEXA—Bone Density

An advanced technology called DEXA (short for dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry) safely, accurately and painlessly measures bone mineral density; an evaluation for osteoporosis and future risk of bone fracture.  DEXA scanning can identify low bone density in patients at an early age, enabling doctors to prescribe treatment before the condition worsens.

DEXA—Body Composition Scan

DEXA Body Composition Scan is a simple 10–15 minute scan that provides a comprehensive look at your body fat, lean mass and bone density with high accuracy. DEXA scan also provides you with specific, trackable numbers of visceral adipose tissue, and estimates your skeletal muscle mass. A detailed, comprehensive report will be printed at the end of your scan to help you identify health risks and track changes in body composition over time. No doctor’s order is necessary.

X-Ray

An X-ray is a common imaging test that’s been used for decades. It can help your doctor view the inside of your body without having to make an incision. This can help them diagnose, monitor, and treat many medical conditions.

Different types of X-rays are used for different purposes. Your doctor may order an X-ray to:

  • Examine an area where you’re experiencing pain or discomfort
  • Monitor the progression of a diagnosed disease
  • Check how well a prescribed treatment is working
